GOD AND HIS REVELATION, PART 4.
As for there being evil in the world, some people question that if God is all-powerful and all-loving, then how can evil be present in the world? I believe that God is a good God but God has given Man a free-will and he has a tendency to sin as he has inherited the DNA of Adam and Eve who were the ones who brought the Fall! And with the Fall, the first sin came, and a radical change took place in the universe! There is natural evils, such as hurricanes and diseases; also there is moral evil due to the free-will actions of humans. There is some tragedies not due to particular sin, such as the man born blind, who was healed to glorify God; or Job, where God allowed satan to test him for he was a righteous man.
Then there are good and evil angels, who were created by God. The good ones remained faithful to God and carry out His work in helping His people and His creation. The evil ones live to oppose God and His children and His creation. According to Erickson, “ the fight between good and evil was fought and won by Christ in the crucifixion and resurrection!”4
Through all this paper on the theme of God and His Revelation, it has shown that God reveals Himself as Great, Good, Almighty, Creator, Provider, Deliverer, Healer, Guide, Authority, Lord of Hosts, who is Three-in-one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who operates in mutual love each one with specific roles!
