PREDESTINED AFTER CHOOSING SALVATION, PART 3.
According to New Dictionary of Theology “many have defined predestination as identical with God’s foreknowledge. God in His omniscience has foreseen how all individuals will respond to the offer of the gospel and has predestined to eternal life those whom He has foreseen, responding in faith and obedience.”1 I agree with the definitions of Dr. Jack Hayford, that there is a difference between these two concepts, but agree that Man has a free-will even though it does not mean that their choices will bring them to their good; but it is not because of God’s sovereign purposes or His will, why some sinners are rescued and others are left in their sin as the Augustinian doctrine teaches!
Of course, comes the question about those people that never heard the gospel message! So comes the responsibility of the body of believers, the church, to always being ready to proclaim the good news. “Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season.” ( 2 Timothy 4: 2). And its responsibility of ‘watching and praying’ for it seems that God does not move except it be by prayer! And of course, He is the one who speaks to His leaders in what direction prayers need to be lifted!
