BIBLICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATURE OF SIN, PART 3.

The Bible talks about the unpardonable sin; in Matthew 12:32 it says: “ And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” I , at the beginning of my walk with the Lord about some 30+ years ago, would get really scared about having committed the ‘unpardonable sin’ because I thought it meant calling the Holy Spirit ‘devil’ whenever I rebuked the devil and maybe I was really saying it to the Holy Spirit out of ignorance! But then I learned that ‘when you grieve the Holy Spirit and commit the unpardonable sin’, is when the Lord knocks and knocks at the door of a person’s heart and they will continually reject Him and so grieve Him! I have held to this theology since then about the unpardonable sin!

The Bible also talks about the sin of a nation and when His people seek the Lord from a sincere heart and repent, then the Lord will heal the land! There the land needs healing whether spiritually, emotionally, financially, physically or politically, or everything, which is caused by sin, then when the people repent as a unit, the Lord will answer their prayers and heal the land! These can apply to our personal life, our cities, our states, our nation and to our world! “If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” So the Bible shows people sinning, then judgment ,then people crying and repenting and God forgiving.
