TRICHOTOMISM AND CONDITIONAL UNITY, PART 2.

According to online source2 “the spirit is the part of man which is used to communicate with God. When someone accepts Jesus’ sacrifice for their sins, they receive the Holy Spirit which lives within man and communes with the spirit of man.” According to James 2:26 it says: “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead…”: this scripture shows how intertwined are the body and spirit even to the point of the body’s death if the spirit is not alive to the Spirit. The body is the outer vessel which holds the soul and spirit; it is what moves a human around the earth. It ages and decays with time , leading to death, but if you have believed in Christ, then you will resurrect one day as an imperishable and immortal person! When the resurrection from the dead occurs, there will be some who have not died yet, but their mortal and perishable bodies will be changed to immortal and imperishable!

In Ecclesiastes 12:7 it says: “and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it”. Of course, I believe that the soul and spirit of the believers return to God and the unbelievers will go to hell! This is the reason why Christian believers should pray for family members, friends, for their city, for their nation and for the world in order that the spirit of evangelism and with it salvation might come in the form of our Lord Jesus Christ and that as few people go to hell! As for the body returning to dust ( “For you are dust, and to dust you shall return” Genesis 3: 19), this is clear even with contemporary scientific knowledge, as can be seen from the laws of Physics and Chemistry, that the basic elements remain in the universe!
