DOCTRINE OF EVIL: GOD IS A GOOD GOD BUT HE HAS GIVEN MAN A FREE-WILL, PART 2.

There are other types of evil, moral evil, that is due to the free-will actions of humans. For example, wars, crimes, cruelties, class struggles, racism, slavery, murder, child-abuse, rape and the like. They have the opportunity to turn to Jesus, to repent of their sin and say ‘yes’ to Jesus thus receiving ‘new-birth’. So they also have a chance to achieve eternal glory! But if they continue in their own willfulness , in their own chosen sins, there is the reality of hell for them!

According to Dr. Jack W. Hayford, “As we noted earlier God did not plan hell: “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels’ (Matthew 25: 4)…Only those will go there who choose to turn from the grace that says, ‘Let your will turn to Me. Put your trust in My Son.’ The choice is ours, as C.S. Lewis said: ‘There are only two kinds of people in all the universe: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done’, and those to whom God ultimately says, ‘Thy will be done.’ “ 1

An example of this type of evil is seen clearly by what happened in the Holocaust. It included murder, rape, racism, war , all led by a man named Hitler; and there were many followers in his regime who fell to this hideous evil. This moral evil is traced to the choices and actions of free moral agents who fell to the sin of feeling themselves a superior race, who needed to eradicate the Jews who were known as God’s chosen people! I feel that Hitler was really a madman led by demonic forces but initiated by a sinful heart. I feel that even him and all his followers , which did a hideous evil, might have cried to the Lord Jesus at their end and He might have saved them! This won’t be known till believers are in heaven themselves!
