TRINITARIAN VIEW OF GOD, PART 3

In one of the seminars taught by Dr. Jack W. Hayford I learned about the following Scriptures showing the different roles of the three Persons of the Godhead. The role of the Holy Spirit in the Godhead is shown to be the one who imparts the varieties of gifts (1 Corinthians 12: 4 ) on individual believers and thus the church, and He is the one who empowers the gifts and who apportions to each one individually as He wills ( 1 Corinthians 12: 11). These various gifts are: the utterance of wisdom, the utterance of knowledge, faith, healing, the working of miracles, prophecy, the ability to distinguish between spirits, various kinds of tongues, the interpretation of tongues.( 1 Corinthians 12: 8-10).

The role of Jesus in the Godhead is shown to be the one who imparts the varieties of service ( 1 Corinthians 12:5). These services are being apostles, being prophets, being evangelists, being pastors and being teachers. He imparts these services in order to equip the saints for the work of ministry for building up the body of Christ until all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God! ( Ephesians 4: 11-13). Of course Jesus became the Savior by becoming God incarnate and dying at the cross and then rising again on the third day.

The role of the Father in the Godhead is shown to be the one who imparts varieties of activities and He is the one who empowers these activities in everyone. These activities are : “prophecy, in proportion to our faith; service for our serving; to teach for our teaching; to exhort for our exhorting; to contribute with generosity; to lead with zeal; to do acts of mercy with cheerfulness”.( Romans 12: 6-8). These activities differ according to the grace given to believers by God the Father.

According to Erickson “the doctrine of the Trinity is a crucial ingredient of our faith. Each of the three, Father, Son and Holy Spirit is to be worshipped, as is the Triune God. And, keeping in mind their distinctive work, it is appropriate to direct prayers of thanks and petition to each of the members of the Trinity, as well as to all of them collectively.”1

According to New Dictionary of Theology “God is not only He but also they—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, coequal and coeternal in power and glory each Person functioning in a set pattern”2 as seen by their specific roles as depicted by the Scriptures. They are seen operating in mutual love, as seen in the following Scriptures: “Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says ‘Jesus is accursed’ and no one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except in the Holy Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12: 3).

ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ!

ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟିୟ ଇତିହାସ ବିକାଶଶୀଳ ହେବା ସହିତ, ‘ଯୀଶୁ’ ନାମ ‘ଯିହୋବା ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ପରିତ୍ରାଣ’ ଭାବରେ ଜଣାଶୁଣା ହେଉଥିଲା। ପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁକ୍ତିଦାତା, ଉଦ୍ଧାରକର୍ତ୍ତା, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପୁରୁଣା ନିୟମ ଧାରଣାରୁ, ଏହି ଅର୍ଥଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଏବଂ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟିୟାନମାନେ ତାଙ୍କଠାରେ କିପରି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଥିଲେ ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତରିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। 1 ଅବଶ୍ୟ, ପରେ, ଆମେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପାପ ଏବଂ ଆଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାରକର୍ତ୍ତା ଏବଂ ମୁକ୍ତିଦାତା ଭାବରେ ଦେଖୁ, ଯିଏ ଆମର ପାପର ପରିଶୋଧ ପାଇଁ କ୍ରୁଶରେ ରକ୍ତପାତ କରିଥିଲେ, ଯଦି ଆମେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁ! ଏବଂ ସେ ହିଁ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଯିବାର ଏକମାତ୍ର ପଥ! ତା’ପରେ ସେ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି ଆମର ତ୍ରାଣକର୍ତ୍ତା!

ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସମ୍ପର୍କ ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମକୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଜନ୍ମ ହୋଇଥିବା ଅଭିଜ୍ଞତା ପାଇବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ! ଯୋହନ 3:3,16 ରେ ଏହା କୁହେ: “ଯୀଶୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ‘ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଛି, ଯଦି କେହି ପୁନର୍ବାର ଜନ୍ମ ନ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ସେ ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଦେଖି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ’….’କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ୱର ଜଗତକୁ ଏତେ ପ୍ରେମ କଲେ ଯେ ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ଏକମାତ୍ର ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ କଲେ, ଯେପରି ଯେ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ ସେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ନ ହୁଏ କିନ୍ତୁ ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନ ପାଏ।’ ” ଯୋହନ 11:25-26 ରେ ଏହା କୁହେ: “ଯୀଶୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ମୁଁ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ଏବଂ ଜୀବନ। ଯେ କେହି ମୋଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ, ଯଦିଓ ସେ ମରିପାରେ, ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ। ଏବଂ ଯେ କେହି ବଞ୍ଚିଥାଏ ଏବଂ ମୋଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ ସେ କେବେବି ମରିବ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମେ କ’ଣ ଏହା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କର?’ “

ତେଣୁ ଆମକୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବାକୁ ଏବଂ ଆମର ପାପରୁ ଅନୁତାପ କରିବାକୁ ପଡିବ ଯାହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଈଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏକ ସମ୍ପର୍କ ସ୍ଥାପନ ହୋଇପାରିବ ଯାହା କେବଳ ଆମର ତ୍ରାଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ଏବଂ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଜନ୍ମ ଅଭିଜ୍ଞତା ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଆସିଥାଏ! “ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟିୟାନ ଜୀବନର ଆରମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ନିଜ ପାପର ସ୍ୱୀକୃତି ଏବଂ ଆତ୍ମକେନ୍ଦ୍ରିକ ଜୀବନ ପଥ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବାର ଦୃଢ଼ ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ଆବଶ୍ୟକ।”2

ପୁନଃ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ନିମ୍ନଲିଖିତ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କୁହନ୍ତୁ:
“ଯୀଶୁ ମୁଁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ ଯେ ତୁମେ କ୍ରୁଶରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁବରଣ କରିଛ,
ମୋର ପାପ କ୍ଷମା ପାଇଁ ତୁମର ରକ୍ତ ଢାଳିଛ;

ଏବଂ ତୃତୀୟ ଦିନରେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉଠିଛ!
ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ମୁଁ ଜଣେ ପାପୀ। ଦୟାକରି ମୋର ପାପ କ୍ଷମା କର;
ଦୟାକରି ମୋ ହୃଦୟରେ ଆସ!
ଆସ ଏବଂ ମୋର ତ୍ରାଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ଏବଂ ମୋ ଜୀବନର ପ୍ରଭୁ ହୁଅ!
ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଯୀଶୁ”
