TRINITARIAN VIEW OF GOD, PART 1.
I believe on the Trinitarian view of God. According to Millard J. Erickson “ the Bible does not explicitly teach the Trinitarian view of God, but the teachings that God is one and that three persons are God clearly imply this view.”1 Among the religions of the world, the Christian faith is unique in claiming that God is One and yet there are three persons who are God.
The Old Testament teaches the unity of God, as for example in the Ten Commandments where it begins with “ I am the Lord your God…You shall have no other gods besides Me.” (Exodus 20: 2-3). Then it follows about not making any images to which they would bow down to, prohibiting idolatry—this one also rests on uniqueness of Yahweh! One clear indication of the oneness of God is the Shema found in Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is One.” But besides the Old Testament showing God’s oneness in James 2:19 it commands belief in one God: “You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!
As for the Deity of three, Dr. Jack W. Hayford2 shows the names of God used in the Old Testament used equally by Jesus Himself, in His incarnation here on earth! He was God incarnate! Such names used by God in the Old Testament as I AM, the Eternal, the Rock, Lord of Hosts, Lord, Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Almighty God , Jesu, uses them Himself or acts them out in His public ministry, or are used by Paul in reference to Jesus, making Jesus God Himself! As for the Holy Spirit, there are biblical references that identify the Holy Spirit as God! In Acts 5:3-4 it shows that lying to the Holy Spirit is equated to lying to God: “Ananis, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit…you have not lied to men but to God.” The Holy Spirit is shown in the following Scriptures as having the qualities and performing the works of God: convicts people of sin, righteousness and judgment(John 16: 8-11); regenerates or gives new life (John 3: 8);in 1 Corinthians 3: 16-17 Paul tells believers they are God’s temple and His Spirit dwells within them. In 1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 he says their bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit. So God = Holy Spirit.

versejant vòstre sang pel perdon de mos pecats ;
E ressuscitèt lo tresen jorn!
Sabi que soi un pecaire. Mercés de me perdonar de mos pecats;
Mercés de venir dins mon còr!
Venètz e siátz mon Salvador e Senhor de ma vida!
Mercés Jèsus”
