SCRIPTURES COME WITH AUTHORIY OF GOD,PART 3.

In 2 Timothy 3:14 Paul writes to Timothy the following: “ But as for you continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it.” So here, Timothy, who has been acquainted with the Scriptures since childhood is reminded by Paul to continue in their steps, as it has proven to him, for what he has become, that these scriptures have power and authority, having come from God Himself and taught by the men of God, Paul being one of them, and given illumination by the Holy Spirit! In 2 Peter 1: 21, Peter shows that the grounds for the authority that comes from him is the inspiration of the Scriptures. It says: “ For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” So here he shows that the authority comes from God Himself, He is the one who speaks through His prophets or writers as they are led by the Holy Spirit!

Dr. Jack W. Hayford said: “However, the result of not obeying the authoritative truth, objectively stated and supernaturally revealed in God’s Word, will always prove futile in life and fatal in eternity. God’s instruction in His Word is timeless. We heed it, not to verify ourselves as religious bigots or mindless drones, but simply because we have found His life-principles work.”1 Having been shepherded under Pastor Jack’s direction at the Church on the Way, I believe on the four ways they stand upon the Bible: 1) Trusting its accuracy as is evidenced by the number of existent manuscripts, as evidenced in the reliability of the text, evidenced by the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, evidenced by the testimony of scholars; 2)Believing its history, with regard to creation and redemption;3)Coming under its authority; and 4)Receiving its prophecies relating to the present and to the future. Jesus said: “I Am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6). Jesus incarnate in believers, as the Word has become part of their spirit, and with the illumination of the Holy Spirit , shows all the truth, all by His authority!

THE WORD IS YEAH AND AMEN
“ For All the promises of God
In Him are Yes, and in Him Amen,
To the glory of God through us.” 2 Corinthians 1: 20.

KASALAMATAN MELALUI YESUS KRISTUS!

Sairiang jo bakambangnyo sajarah Kristen, namo ‘Isa’ dikenal sabagai ‘Yahweh adolah Kasalamatan’. Dari gagasan-gagasan Pajanjian Lamo tantang Tuhan, Panebus, Pambebas, Allah, makna-makna iko dipindahan ka Isa jo baa urang Kristen picayo kapado Baliau. 1 Tantu sajo, kudian, kito maliek kini Isa Almasih sabagai Pambebas jo Panebus dari doso jo kalam rohani, nan manumpahkan darah di kayu salib untuak mambayia doso-doso kito, jikok kito picayo! Dan bahaso Baliau sajolah jalan manuju Allah! Mako Baliaulah Juru Salamat kito!

Kito kini paralu mampunyoi pangalaman lahia baliak untuak mampunyoi hubungan jo Baliau! Dalam Yahya 3:3,16 ado tatulih: “ ‘Isa Almasih manjawab, sarato bakato kabake Baliau, ‘Picayolah kabake angku-angku: jikok urang indak dilayiekan baliak, mako inyo indak dapek doh maliyek Karajaan Allah’….’Dek karano, Allah sangaik mangasiahi dunia, sainggo Baliau mambarikan Anak-Nyo nan tungga, supayo siapo sajo nan picayo kabake Baliau, jan binaso dek Yahya1. 25-26 ado tatulih: “ Isa Almasih bakato kabake inyo, ‘Ambolah kabangkitan sarato jo iduik. Urang nan picayo kabake Ambo, biyapun inyo mati, inyo ka iduik. Urang nan iduik, sarato picayo kabake Ambo, indak ka mati doh salamo-lamonyo. Apokoh angkau picayo kabake Ambo?’ “

Jadi kito paralu picayo dan batobat dari doso-doso kito supayo kini punyo hubungan jo Allah nan hanyo datang malalui pangalaman lahia baliak jo Isa Almasih Juru Salamat dan Tuhan kito! “Awal kahidupan Kristen mamaralukan pangakuan tantang badoso diri surang jo tekad untuak maninggaan caro iduik nan bapusat pado diri surang.”2.
