PEOPLE NEED A MORE PERSONAL REVELATION OF GOD THAN A GENERAL REVELATION, PART 1.

I am in agreement with Millard J. Erickson’s view that “most people need a more personal understanding of God than is available through nature and general history.”1 As it says in Romans 1:20: “they are without excuse” at the natural revelations God shows humans through His creation. I am thankful that God reveals Himself in other ways, in more personal ways! I don’t understand completely how hard-headed I really was, in that seeing all His Majesty around me, I still would declare that there was no God! Maybe it was the loneliness of life, but I now knows I was without excuse, but I am forever grateful to the Lord Jesus for revealing Himself to me in a personal manner and becoming my Savior after hard circumstances, and believes much prayer by friends and family, brought me to the point of crying out to the Lord, who answered me by bringing the message of the gospel, and then all I had to do was to take the step of faith of believing in Him( which is His gift) and asking Him into my life; and so having a born-again experience!

Dr. Hayford says: “As we walk through the Scriptures we see a growing revelation of God’s heart toward us and His purpose for Man. At each encounter with man, God is seeking to reveal more of Himself , and the purpose of His revelation is that humankind may once more know Him.” After an initial born-again experience, a believer, who studies the Scriptures and preferably under the teaching of a mature, Spirit-filled Pastor who leads a church where the Old Testament as well as the New Testament is taught under the leading of the Holy Spirit, will grow in revelation of God’s heart towards them and His purposes for them. So this is one manner in which a person has a personal revelation of God!

BY FAITH
“Just as Abraham believed God,
And it was counted to him as righteousness.” Galatians 3:6
