GENERAL REVELATION OF GOD FOUND IN NATURE, HISTORY AND HUMANITY: PART 2.
Dr. Hayford states : “The self-revelation of God to humankind has been a progressive unfolding, initiated from His side to ours. If He had not, there is no way we could even begin to know or understand Him.”1 God has always revealed Himself throughout history and whether believers or unbelievers, who study past history and even present history as it unfolds, they can see certain patterns and trends that can only be given their appropriate honor as coming from the hand of God. Specially, Biblical history reveals explicitly the hand of God; but even secular history reveals His hand. As He is advancing His kingdom, the world can see that the worldly kingdoms are progressively becoming part of the Kingdom of our Lord: “ The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever.” Revelation 11: 15.
Erickson states the following: “An example often cited of God’s revelation in history is the preservation of the people of Israel.” 2 Throughout the history of the world, Israel has been the pivotal nation of God’s revelation. It has always been the source of making the other nations move in a certain way! In the 20th century, the Holocaust took place where Germany’s leader, Adolph Hitler, decided to cleanse humanity from the Jews, and he almost succeeded by incinerating almost six million Jews in multiple concentration camps. This brought America and its allies into World War II. The preservation of the Chosen People has always brought the other nations to rise against the nations that want to annihilate them, and so history seems to always revolve around them, since it is God who is revealing them to the nations, as the ones who bring blessings to the nations when they are blessed. Then with the birthing again of the nation of Israel in 1948, it brought great zeal amongst the Jews as well as the Christians because they saw the beginnings of the fulfillment of prophecy, both in the Old Testament as well as in the New Testament and the nearing of the coming of the Messiah and the start of His reign from the nation of Israel. As it says in Romans 1:16: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” So when the spirit of evangelism starts moving, it starts with the Jewish people and so for the believers to take the opportunity to bring the message to the Jews first because then all the nations will receive the message too!

E che L’è l’ünica via a Dio!
