WHAT IS THE UNPARDONABLE SIN?

The Bible talks about committing the unpardonable sin! And it is the sin you commit against the Holy Spirit! On my first few years of my walk with the Lord, I would have such fears that I had committed the unpardonable sin when I realized I had called the Holy Spirit the devil because I really thought it was the devil dealing with me! And I thought that was the end for me, that I was going to hell for it! But as I walked longer with the Lord, I realized that the Holy Spirit has a sense of humor, that as God He is love, He is a merciful and forgiving God while we are seeking Him!

I learned that the unpardonable sin is that one where the Holy Spirit deals with an unsaved or backslidden person, nudging him/her to turn to the Lord, to be part of the kingdom of God, and He gives them a lot of opportunities and each time they refuse Him! At this time the Holy Spirit stops nudging them because basically these people start blaspheming Him because they don’t want nothing from Him, so He turns away from them, grieved, because there is no more chances for them! They have committed the unpardonable sin! “Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.” Mark 3: 28-29.

The Word says that when we turn away from God we have committed adultery against Him! And for many times, He calls us back unto His fold, but many times people turn away from Him! “ ‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord; ‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful,’ says the Lord, ‘I will not remain angry forever. Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against the Lord your God, and have scattered your charms to alien deities under every green tree. And you have not obeyed My voice,’ says the Lord. ‘Return, O backsliding children,’ says the Lord, ‘ For I am married to you.’ “ Jeremiah 3: 12-14. This is the reason why we shouldn’t backslide and become hardened of hearts towards the Lord because this could lead to the unpardonable sin! We should always keep our hearts turned and sensitive to the Lord!

GOD’S LOVE
“For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 100:5.
