BIBLE’S CONTENT AND CONTEXT IN THE PRESENT DAYS:PART 1.

Erickson goes on to say that the world of the Bible and the present world are very different. That it is important to state the gospel in terms that will be understood today. He says some theologians have not only changed the form of expression but the substance as well! He then says the goal for contemporizing it is to retain the content and biblical doctrine while making the message more understandable. My view is that even though contemporary times have advanced in technology, scientific achievements and increased knowledge as compared to the world of the Bible, still the human soul and spirit remains the same in its need of a relationship with God and as such it is the Holy Spirit who brings relevant communication of the unchanging message. I do see the need to bring translation into other languages and the cultural thought of other societies without changing the content.

Erickson also says that religious language often transcends sensory experience causing its reality to be called into question. He says that modern mind seeks proofs so religious language may seem unsatisfactory. That religious language can be cognitively meaningful. My view is that when a person has a born again experience , the religious language becomes alive through the Holy Spirit who makes it cognitive to the mind, heart and spirit of the person. When a religious person has not had a born-again experience and tries to understand the religious language , he/she will not have the true revelation of God and that is where they will try to debate about its meaningfulness for this present world and times, where they will try to change the context and meaning to their mental understanding when in fact they can only see the physical aspect of life and its influence to a person.

ALIVE THRU THE SPIRIT
“For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit,
he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh,
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:5-6.

KESELAMATEN ARAH YESUS KRISTUS!

Ibas sejarah Kristen berkembang, gelar ‘Yesus’ itandai sebage ‘Yahweh eme Keselamaten’. Arah pengertin Padan si Ndekah kerna Tuhan, Penebus, Pembebas, Dibata, makna-makna enda ipindahken ku Jesus ras kuga kalak Kristen tek man baNa. 1 Tentu saja, i bas pudi wari, siidah genduari Jesus selaku Pembebas ras Penebus i bas dosa ras kegelapen rohani nari, si ngamburken dareh i kayu persilang guna nggalari dosa-dosanta, adi tek kita! Janah maka Ia ngenca dalan ku Dibata! Adi bage Ia me Juruselamatta!

Kita genduari perlu lit pengalamen ketubuhen si mbaru gelah banci lit hubungen ras Ia! Ibas Johanes 3:3,16 ikataken: “ ‘Erjabap Jesus man bana, ‘Kukataken man bandu maka ise pe labo banci ngidah Kinirajan Dibata adi la kin ia tubuh peduakaliken’….’Sabap bage kal kelengna ate Dibata man Dibata. doni si iberekenNa AnakNa si tonggal, gelah ise pe si tek man baNa ula bene, tapi gelah dat kegeluhen si tuhu-tuhu si la erkeri-kerin.’ 25-26 ikataken: “ Nina Jesus man bana, ‘Aku kap kekeken ras kegeluhen. Ise tek man bangKu, aminna pe ia mate, tetap nge ia nggeluh. Janah ise pe si nggeluh dingen tek man bangKu ndigan pe la mate. Tek nge kam man si enda?’ “

Jadi perlu kita tek ras jera ibas dosa-dosanta nari gelah genduari lit hubungen ras Dibata si hanya reh arah pengalamen lahir kembali ras Yesus Juruselamat ras Tuhanta! “Awal kegeluhen kalak Kristen membutuhken pengakun kerna dosa diri ras tekad guna nadingken cara nggeluh si mementingkan diri sendiri.”2.

“Yesus tek aku Kam mate i kayu persilang, .
ngamburken darehNdu guna pengalemi dosangku ;
Janah keke ka ia i bas wari si peteluken!
Kueteh maka aku kalak perdosa. Tolong alemilah dosa-dosangku;
Tolong masuk ku bas pusuhku!
Rehlah kam jadi Juruselamat ras Tuhan geluhku!
Bujur Jesus”
