SITTING AT HIS FEET: GOD THE CREATOR?
In Genesis 1 we see God creating the heavens and the earth and all that is on it, including all His Creatures; and it was all done in six days! Now there are two groups of people who argue as to what a day consists of: the Young-Earth Creationist who believe a day is a literal twenty-four-hour segment of time; on the other hand the Old-Earth Creationists believe a day in the book of Genesis refers to an epoch, a period of time!
When you hear of the fossil evidence for the existence of dinosaurs dated scientifically a million of years ago, then a day being an epoch makes sense! And it makes sense the earth is older than what the Young-Earth Creationists think and as such we need to be responsible with it!
On the seventh day, the Word says that God rested. We could extrapolate that we are still in the resting epoch where no new unique creatures have been created since Man on the sixth. But God promises a new heaven and a new earth in the future. So we are to enter His rest while He sends us forth into all the world, making disciples of men! “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11: 28-29.
GO INTO THE HARVEST!
Peace be still, My people!
Joy comes in the morning!
Peace be still!
“And He awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39.
I come quickly!’
Strengthen one another!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Philippians 4:11
I love you My people!
The harvest is plentiful!
Love them, My people!
“The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few…” Matthew 9: 37-38,
