GENERAL REVELATION OF GOD FOUND IN NATURE, HISTORY AND HUMANITY: PART 2. Dr. Hayford states : “The self-revelation of God to humankind has been a progressive unfolding, initiated from His side to ours. If He had not, there is no way we could even begin to know or...

GENERAL REVELATION OF GOD FOUND IN NATURE, HISTORY AND HUMANITY: PART I. I agree with Millard J. Erickson’s view that the general revelation of God has been found in three areas: nature, history and humanity.1 As for the nature area, God reveals Himself through His...

ALL SCRIPTURE IS BREATHED BY GOD, PART 4. Dr. Jack Hayford said that “the evangelical view holds an approach to the Scriptures that sees the Bible as a source of life”1 . I hold on to the evangelical view and that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God. And every...

ALL SCRIPTURE IS BREATHED BY GOD, PART 3. Erickson says that the world of the Bible and the present world are very different. That it is important to state the gospel in terms that will be understood today. He says some theologians have not only changed the form of...

ALL SCRIPTURE IS BREATHED BY GOD, PART 2. Erickson seems to think like many theologians today that philosophy is important to Biblical theology in that it can provide resources that will establish a clear and accurate foundation for theology. He mentions five...

ALL SCRIPTURE IS BREATHED OUT BY GOD: PART 1. If everyone went about changing the content of the Bible and its biblical doctrine, then humankind would be in bad shape as to who to believe! If everyone comes saying they are prophets and they have the true revelation of...

JOHN BAPTIZES JESUS. In the Book of Matthew, Chapter 3, we see John the Baptist, whose mother is related to Mary; they are cousins so he probably knew Jesus well! We find him in the Jordan river baptizing people in water. He was mentioned in Isaiah 40:3, an Old...

GENEALOGY AND BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST. The gospel of Matthew is one of the synoptic gospels, the others being Mark and Luke. It means they follow the same basic outline in their format, and it is thought by most theologians that Matthew and Luke copied a great deal from...

How To Receive Jesus and Be Saved
If you would like to receive Jesus Christ into your life and be “born again,” all you have to do, according to Him is:
“Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
John 3:7-8
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
“Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raise Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
Ask, Seek and Knock
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that aseeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
(Matthew 7:7-8)
