BEING A NOSY PERSON!
The Scriptures say in so many words: ‘To mind our own business!’ And it comes the other way: ‘that they mind their own business!’ Whether they are your friends, your neighbors, your pastors, your coworkers, and of course, yourselves! (Read 2 Thessalonians 3:11). We are not to be busybodies! And specially in what concerns our relationships: if there is something that irks me the most, is when a person thinks they know who is the best person as our mates! Or when one of your old exes comes around and starts imposing himself on us, saying they are your forever person!
And then they are telling others that we betrayed him, and are igniting others to start looking at us like we are a bad person! They are slandering, spreading false rumors! So starting rumors is not good! And then all we want to say is: ‘tell that ex to lay-off from me!’ If we need to forgive or be forgiven, we need to do it between us personally (Luke 17:3), or bring it to God Himself as we see in the Lord’s prayer (Matthew 6:12). For all that we do or say, we are held accountable to Him!
IDLE WORDS
“But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak,
They will give account of it in the day of judgment.
For by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned.”
Matthew 12:36-37.
