Bible on reason why we are here?

We are given the opportunity to get to know our God, Lord Jesus, and His ways! If we choose Him then we can get into the Kingdom of Heaven , starting here on earth, where we are to put on the whole armor of God, in order to fight the enemy who wants to rob each one of us of our opportunity! At the end of our lives, if we have chosen Him, we can go enjoy Heaven with all its treasures where there is no decay, no crying, no pain, no sickness for all eternity! God wants to share with us His Kingdom! We needed a Redeemer here on earth, Jesus! To share on His suffering for us so we understand the depth of His love! God is love!

Ephesians 6: 10-18 talks about what is the spiritual armor we are to put on, so we can stand against the darts of the enemy here on earth! It mentions putting the helmet which symbolizes salvation, ; the breastplate which symbolizes righteousness, i.e., doing God’s commands; the shield which symbolizes faith, i.e., believing; the sword which symbolizes the Word, i.e., reading and studying the Word where we get our faith; girding our waist which symbolizes the truth, which Jesus says ‘I am the way, the truth and the life’, in other words having Jesus; shodding our feet, which symbolizes walking with the gospel wherever Jesus leads. All these makes up the armor of God! And when we have put on all the armor, we are to pray with the understanding and the Spirit!

In other words, we are in a battlefield and we need all of God! In turn, we are offered a future in Heaven with King Jesus, to live in His Kingdom forever, where there is ‘no death, no crying, no pain’. Revelations 21:4. But we have to fight for it while we are trusting Jesus and learning to know Him. Here on earth, we learn to share in His sufferings and joys! And we learn of His great love for us by what He took at the cross! All in order that we might enjoy living in His Kingdom with all His rewards! “ But may the God of all grace, wo called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” 1 Peter 5: 10.

He gives a chance: all we need is believe in Him! We are to learn here on earth it is the Spirit who leads us, restores us and makes us into the image of Christ! And in all, we are to learn to worship the living God, Our King! We do it because we love Him, trust Him to meet all our needs and as such we should have a heart of gratitude towards Him! So that we might start enjoying and seeing some of the benefits we’ll have in eternity!

For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep of His hand.” Psalm 95:6-7.
