CREATION AND ITS HISTORY ALL PLANNED BY GOD’S WILL, PART 2.

As for creation itself, that is, the Universe with stars, sun ,moons, flora, fauna, planets, oceans ,the earth and Man, I believe it was all planned and designed by God, very orderly and not at random! In a class at the seminary called Creation and the Bible Dr Hugh Ross taught: “Scientists can take us back through 15 billions of years of history, right back to the Bing Bang, but they cannot tell us what brought about the Big Bang….But , the Bible simply says ‘In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth’(Genesis 1:1). That was the Big Bang! Our Bible says that God did it. Since natural forces did not do it, then it must have been done by some Being. We have a legal document which says that God did it.”1 I believe in the Big Bang theory where the Universe started like a ball and it has expanded into a large, flat oval dish , that God blew up with space, time, heat, energy and at the beginning it was very hot and it has been expanding and getting cooler. This happened at least 13 billion years ago since modern day heat measurements of the Universe can give a pretty precise date! At different times in the Universe’s history, God has placed the stars, the planets, the sun , the moons, the galaxies, the oceans, the flora, the fauna, and of course Man.

Some believe that God created these out of nothing, not with preexistent matter. I believe this somewhat , in that I believe that God did create all the elements present in the Universe that make up all its objects including its creatures, but that He did pre-design with His intellect all the elements and how they would be put together into different matter. And the Trinity participated in this Design before the Universe’s beginning!
As for it happening on seven days, made up of twenty-four hours per day, I believe each day of creation is an epoch of time, could be millions of years, as in Hebrew yom(day) can imply both an era or a twenty four day! The study of geology, for example, have shown the existence of dinosaurs, that through fossil measurements show they existed millions of years ago! In the same class: “Although the primary objective of this book is to determine who made the animals, not when they were made, nevertheless, when speaking of fossils it is convenient to have some estimate of when the animals lived that produced the fossils.”2
